The Sri Lanka Ex‑Servicemen Association of Queensland (SLEXQ) welcomes new members from Brisbane, Gold Coast, Townsville, Cairns, and across Queensland who share our values of unity, respect, and remembrance.
Membership is open not only to Sri Lankan veterans but also to those in the wider community who support our mission and heritage.
Membership Categories
Full Membership
Full Membership is offered to honourably discharged members of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces and Sri Lanka Police who now live in Queensland, Australia.
This category recognises your service to our motherland and offers a place to continue the camaraderie you shared in active duty.
Who qualifies:
Former Sri Lanka Army, Navy, or Air Force personnel
Former Sri Lanka Police officers
Must have received an honourable discharge
Membership Categories
Affiliate Membership
Affiliate Membership is open to members of the public deemed suitable by the Committee and approved by the Full Membership. This category is for valued friends and supporters of our veteran community.
Under Affiliate Membership, there are two distinguished forms of recognition:
Honorary Membership
Granted to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Association or the Sri Lankan veteran community in Queensland. Honorary Members are nominated by the Committee and approved by members.
Life Membership
Awarded to members — including Affiliate Members — in recognition of longstanding dedication and exceptional service to the Association. Life Members enjoy ongoing membership privileges without the need for renewal.
