Join Us at Sri Lanka Day 2026: Celebrate and Savour Traditional Flavours!
The Sri Lanka Ex-servicemen Association is proud to announce our participation in Sri Lanka Day 2026. For the fifth consecutive year, our members will be operating a special food stall, bringing the rich culinary heritage of Sri Lanka straight to our community.
This year’s campaign features a truly special highlight: it is being proudly led by our female Sri Lankan veterans and the wives of our veterans, who are bringing their incredible dedication and expertise to the forefront of this event.
Event Details:
  • Date: 11 October 2026 from 9 am to 4 pm
  • Location: Rockriver Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks QLD 4073
Our stall will feature an extensive array of authentic Sri Lankan sweets and treats, meticulously prepared to give you a true taste of home. Come and indulge in traditional delicacies, including:
  • Kavum varieties: Konda Kavum, Mun Kavum, and Naarang Kavum
  • Festive favourites: Kokis, Aasmi, and Wali Thalapa
  • Classic treats: Halapa, Pani Appa, Lavariya, and Udu Walalu
In addition to these traditional sweets, we will be serving a variety of popular Sri Lankan short eats, baked goods, and refreshing beverages, including Wade, Fish Buns, Chocolate Cake, Cupcakes, and our crowd-favourite Ice Coffee.
Whether you are looking to revisit fond memories of home or experience the vibrant flavours of Sri Lankan cuisine for the first time, our stall has something for everyone.
We warmly invite all our members, families, friends, sponsors, well-wishers, and the general public to join us, meet our incredible team, and support the association. Your presence and support mean the world to our veterans and their families.
We look forward to seeing you all at Rock River Park on the 11th of October!
